Job Description

NexAir Avionics is a custom avionics and maintenance facility at the Plymouth Airport in Plymouth, MA. We are expanding quickly and need qualified Maintenance Technicians. The role(s) are full-time and open immediately. NexAir is a smaller business but growing two fold every year.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repair, testing, installation and inspection of aircraft equipment and systems, removal and reassembly of aircraft interior and instrument panels, testing of avionics systems wiring harnesses, Pitot-Static/RVSM systems testing and repair, and maintaining repair station records and documents as required.

• Perform annual inspection and maintenance on Cirrus aircraft to aircraft manufacturer specifications
• Perform component level repairs and re-certifications
• Ensure the proper preservation and protection of all aircraft articles during maintenance and storage; including incoming inspection and life limited parts as outlined in Repair Station Manual
• Ensure that all forms initiated are completed in accordance with instructions located in Appendix A of the Repair Station Manual

• Ensure all shop equipment and tools are maintained and in good working order
• Maintain work station in compliance with safety, fire, regulatory, and security requirements

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Maintenance Technician position must possess the following:

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• College degree or equivalent in aviation or related subjects is required—A&P preferred, avionics experience a plus
• Previous experience with Cirrus Aircraft is ideal
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and schematics
• Excellent oral/written communication skills and above average computer skills and proficiency
• Ability to wear all required safety equipment; to walk/sit/climb/crawl/twist/bend/gain entry to/work in confined areas; and to work from stands and ladders
• Must be able to lift at least 70 lbs and be able to perform moderately strenuous physical tasks which include bending, stooping, kneeling and working overhead for long periods of time
