Avidyne IFD550/540 for Citation Jet 525/A

Avidyne is now offering their IFD550 and IFD540 Navigator series for the Citation Jet 525 and 525A platforms, with more models in the pipeline. Going beyond ADS-B, the upgrade offers LPV approach capability, electronic approach charts, and wireless connectivity at an affordable price point. The Flight Management Systems will provide easy to use hybrid touch capabilities, autopilot-coupled LPV approach capability, 3D synthetic vision views of nearby terrain, obstacles and traffic, plus integrated wireless connectivity to the IFD100 and many third-party apps including ForeFlight.

In addition to providing precision GPS/LPV navigation in an easy-to-use FMS, the IFD550 and IFD540 provide dual 16-watt VHF communication radios, plus dual VHF navigation and ILS capability, plus the option of dual Avidyne SkyTrax 322 remote-mount or SkyTrax 340 panel mounted Mode S transponders for ADS-B out.

CJ525/525A operators who upgrade to the IFDs can also have the IFD100, which is a powerful iPad App that communicates via WiFi and provides independent, large-screen display and control of the panel-mounted IFD system.
