Aspen Avionics announced the introduction of the Evolution Pro Plus safety package. The package includes the Evolution primary flight display (PFD) preloaded with Evolution Synthetic Vision, and their newest safety product, the Evolution Angle of Attack (AOA) indicator. Purchased together, the system has an MSRP of $13,995 a $1,695 savings over purchasing each capability separately. The Evolution Pro Plus safety package is available through NexAir and Aspen has stated that deliveries begin immediately.

Aspen Avionics announced that its integrated Evolution Angle Attack (AOA) indicator has received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification. Aspen’s patent-pending solution seamlessly integrates AOA technology directly into its Evolution primary flight and multi-function displays through a software upgrade. The software upgrade is available through NexAir and Aspen has stated that deliveries begin immediately.

Aspen Avionics announced a partnership with L-3 Aviation Products. The L-3 Lynx® NGT-9000 line of Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) products will interface with the Aspen Evolution line of MFDs and PFDs. The interface will include the display of ADS-B weather and traffic data from the NGT-9000 ADS-B receiver onto the Aspen display(s).  Additionally, the Lynx NextGen Active Traffic® from the NGT-9000+ model will display active TAS traffic onto the Aspen display. These packages are expected to be available in August of 2015.
