Garmin’s New G3X Available at NexAir Avionics

1B9 Mansfield, Ma./July 14, 2010 – NexAir Avionics, a growing general aviation avionics shop in Mansfield, Ma, recently awarded a Garmin LSA/Experimental Dealership.

Although Garmin introduced its G3X, a non-TSO’d glass cockpit for retrofit installation in experimental/kitbuilt and light sport aircraft (LSA) on opening day of AirVenture 2009 – NexAir Avionics, the newest LSA/Experimental Garmin Dealer, is the only Garmin LSA/Experimental Dealer in New England.

The G3X is a customizable PFD/MFD combination that features one, two or three all-glass displays; magnetometer; ADAHRS (combined air data and AHRS unit); engine monitoring; and temperature probe. Thanks to its building block design, customers can create a high performance panel that is tailored to their aircraft, Garmin officials said. The integration and versatility provided by the G3X electronic flight displays makes it easy to customize the ideal panel layout for experimental aircraft. You can start with a single screen – or use as many as three displays – to fit the space, avionics stack, and budget available.

“Customers in this market segment are unique because their aircraft are often custom-made,” said Gary Kelley, Garmin’s vice president of marketing. “Customers can adapt the G3X system so it suits whatever is needed for their plane.
